10.Jeffrey Ebbeler
Jeffrey Ebbeler has been creating art for children for almost a decade. He loves the creative potential of storybook art. He has given many lectures and demonstrations in grade-schools, colleges, and museums about the process of bringing words to life through pictures. He has worked on a variety of projects including illustrations for magazines, CD covers, and book covers as well as paper engineering for pop-up books, creating large scale murals for schools and churches, and sculpting puppets and preforming for several marionette theaters.

He and his wife Eileen both attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati. They currently live in Cincinnati with their twin daughters Olivia and Isabel.








For more than ten years, She designed and produced childrens' entertainment and educational software, websites and videos. Now Decker spend her days drawing and painting everything from armadillos to zebras to homemade Pokemon cards for my son. Decker graduated from Murray Tinkelman’s limited residency MFA program at Hartford Art School in July 2009. The program was a dream come true; to live and breathe art with incredible illustrators for 4 weeks a year - heaven!








Maryann Cocca-Leffler grew up in the Boston area where she received a BFA in illustration from the Massachusetts College of Art. In 1981, Maryann illustrated her first children’s book, Thanksgiving at the Tappletons written by Eileen Spinelli. Since then, she has gone on to write and/or illustrate more than 50 books for children.














Andrea (pronounced An-dray-a) is a founding member as well as animator, director, and concept artist for
Cartobaleno Animation Studio. He has won numerous awards for his animation and directorial talents at the
Flashtoons Festival (2003), Visioni Animate Festival (2004), Valsusa Film Festival, Ionio Film Festival,
Arcipelago Film Festival (2005), Ceccano Film Festival and Cinematografare21 Film Festival (2006). His art has been exhibited at the Davico Art Gallery in Torino (2011) and at the Mitreo Art Gallery in Rome (2011-12).








15. Macky Pamintuan
Macky Pamintuan was born and raised in Davao, a city in the southern Philippines. As a young child, drawing was his favorite pastime and an activity that brought him delight and satisfaction. Early on, his parents discovered that giving him paper and pencil was a sure way to keep him busy, quiet, and out of trouble. He still remembers the day when he successfully drew Mickey Mouse and Superman, a huge breakthrough and a sweet triumph. He moved to San Francisco at age 21 and in 1998 enrolled in the Academy of Art College to pursue illustration. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in December 2003.








During the ‘70’s in his native Liverpool, Mick played guitar in a number of bands, including The Glass Torpedoes and Nightmares in Wax, with whom he made a couple of records. As the insecurity of a musician’s life became more and more apparent, his interest in art grew, and he began studying art and design. This eventually led him to the Liverpool School of Art, from which he received Honours in Illustration in 1989. His lively ink and watercolor work has proven very popular with many publishers, and he has illustrated over 250 books.








Jennifer Zivoin is a children's book illustrator living in Carmel, Indiana. Although she has been trained in media ranging from figure drawing to virtual reality, her passion is bringing stories to life through her paintings. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with highest distinction from the honors division of Indiana University. She then began her professional career as a graphic designer, and later became a creative director at a multimedia design company. Today, she enjoys living out her dream of creating art for children's books.






Born in Bahía Blanca, Argentina, Carolina began her career as a children’s book illustrator after working for several well-known animation studios. She currently lives in La Plata with her husband, Marcelo and their two beautiful children, Sara and Francisco. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in art, she began teaching at the university. She continues to teach with the same passion and dedication that is also evident in her illustrations. Over the years she has published books, sometimes as both the author and illustrator. Carolina likes to spend her free time drawing even while traveling with her family. She only needs a sharp pencil to keep her creativity flowing. Her artwork is created using a variety of mediums with a preference towards watercolors and acrylics.







Sachiko moved to San Francisco from Japan in 1988 to study art. Her initial interest in art was jewelry making and then, gradually, graphic design. Later she branched out into mixed media and began creating narrative illustration. Currently, she enjoys creating whimsical and vibrant illustrations using collage and mixed media such as balsa wood, as well as with traditional techniques. Much of her work has been inspired by living and traveling in the United States and abroad. She has lived in Tokyo, California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington and currently, in Wisconsin. She has also lived in Uganda, in East Africa, where she had a group show with local artists at the Uganda National Museum.
